Current Clients

If you are a current client, you can just log into the Client Portal to schedule an appointment unless your provider is full and running a waitlist. Here’s a helpful guide on how to request appointments.

If you see no appointments listed, then that means that there are no times available for your therapist. Please discuss with your therapist or contact the Client Services Coordinator as necessary to figure out how to schedule.

New Clients

If you are interested in becoming a new client, please complete our Appointment Request Form.

Please fill out the request form completely to ensure that we can best serve your needs. Please include a brief description of your problem, the name of the therapist that you would like to work with, and other details required by the form.

Once you have completed the form, our providers will review your information to see if:

  • You’re a good fit for our practice

  • If you indicated a preferred provider, whether that provider is accepting new clients, and if not, who would be the best fit for you.

Please check the Services tab for a description of who we treat and the Focus tab for our primary practice areas. If you are struggling with a severe mental health issue or a severe major depressive episode, our practice is likely not the best fit for your needs. Please let us know, and we will provide a list of referrals.

If Your Chosen Provider is Running a Waitlist

If your preferred provider is currently running a waitlist, then you will be offered the following options:

1) Work with another provider in our office

2) Be placed on the provider’s waitlist

Our Client Coordinator doesn’t update people on their status on the list regularly. You will be contacted only when you’re one of the next 2 – 3 names on the list. Please contact our Client Coordinator if you have more questions.

If a provider is available, then our Client Care Coordinator will contact you with next steps for scheduling your intake.

Please note that you must complete paperwork 72 hours prior to your appointment due to new federal requirements under the No Surprises Act.

No, we don’t require referrals. You just need to submit the Appointment Request Form.

If you have a specific therapist(s) you want to work with, you may request them when filling out the Appointment Request Form. For a list of our providers and their specialties, please visit our Team Page.

Our providers will review the information to determine who they feel may be the best fit for you. If we do not feel that one of our providers will be a good fit for you, we will do our best to provide you with a suggestion of a provider who will better fit your needs.

For telehealth clients who don’t live in our home states and don’t live in a PSYPACT state, we cannot provide you services.

However, we can provide our referral list that includes links to national specialist directories and we are also happy to check with our national referral networks.

Please note that we have a 48-hour cancellation policy. Your appointment time is special as are you!

If you cancel your appointment outside that window (including your intake appointment), don’t show for your online session, or arrive 20 minutes after your session start time, you will be charged the full session amount to your credit card on file.

Please be sure to choose appointment reminder options in the portal. You will receive appointment reminders via email, text, and voicemail, depending on which options you select in the client portal.

Our providers don’t prescribe medication, but your provider will work with your medical provider if necessary and you are taking medication.

If you are an existing client and you determine that you would like to pursue medication, your provider can work with you to provide a potential referral.

How long we work together can vary depending on various factors, including your current level of functioning, external or situational factors or barriers, your physical health, symptom severity, and your motivation for treatment.

Psychological treatment is not like a medical doctor visit. Instead, it calls for a very active effort on your part. For treatment to be most successful, the client must make a commitment to work on treatment goals both during our sessions and at home or your symptoms and/or functioning may not improve.

Your therapist will work with you to establish treatment goals and develop assignments for work outside of the session. If you have concerns about how long therapy is taking, please address this directly with your therapist.

We strongly encourage and support your ongoing feedback to your therapist regarding your work together, which is associated with a stronger alliance and better outcomes.

Your intake session will include an evaluation on how frequent sessions should occur (e.g., weekly, biweekly).

Based on a client’s treatment plan, the recommended frequency of sessions may vary based on presentation and severity of symptoms. Typically, clients meet weekly with their therapist, but it can vary. Assessments typically require multiple sessions.

In general, the average number of sessions it takes to accomplish your treatment goals can vary depending on various factors, including the severity of symptoms, current functioning at work, school, and home, situational factors or barriers (e.g., difficult job, relationship, or school situations or events, health issues, traumatic events), and most importantly, how often you’re able to practice your skills outside of sessions.

We don’t provide emergency services or crisis intervention or DBT phone coaching.

If you’re experiencing a true clinical emergency and need immediate assistance, please:

  • go to your local emergency room,

  • call 911

  • or call your local Mobile Crisis or similar team.
