Are you a Jedi?
Are you a psychologist who enjoys teaching
your clients how to move rocks with their minds?

Want to help and inspire incredible people to:
Let’s do it. Together.
If you’re a clinical or counseling psychologist that’s obsessed with empowering humans to live more rich and more fulfilling lives, let’s connect!
Connecting high-achieving individuals and their families with highly trained, skilled, and deeply dedicated psychologists who can hold space for all the feels – from #allthefeels to #whatamIevenfeeling – for those people whose success might intimidate others.
Going full-tilt Jedi Master on the therapeutic relationship because we know that it’s the “force” behind every single thing we do.
Infusing EBT with the art of the interpersonal process dimension in therapy. Our clients value warmth, connection, transparency, authenticity, and some playfulness and laughter when appropriate. We are looking for people who embody this in all ways and are courageous in their practice.
Optimizing the experience of online therapy for our clients, which includes making those tough calls when online therapy is not the most appropriate option. Let’s double down on this. You must really LOVE doing online therapy. In our experience that means bringing the energy needed to make meaningful connections virtually. We also love the flexibility that online therapy offers us and our clients – we love seeing our families and fur babies more (and our client’s fur babies!) and looking totally professional above the waist while we’re rocking some comfy yoga pants.
Creating a burnout-free practice. Our mission is to empower psychologists to work on their own terms – choosing when, how, and with whom they want to work.
We are dedicated to going full-tilt Jedi Master on the therapeutic relationship because we know that it’s the force behind every single thing we do.
Currently, we are looking for a psychologist with advanced training and experience in specific areas that our high-performing clients are requesting, which include:
Trauma, grief, and loss and other traumatic stress
Sports and performance psychology
Expertise in using exposure-based therapies like exposure and response prevention (ERP) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) with anxiety-related disorders (specifically working with specific phobias, panic, etc.) and OCD
Couples therapy
Online group therapy (e.g., DBT, RO-DBT, ACT, and ERP specifically)
In general, we require at least 3 years of experience post licensure except in certain unique situations. (We hope to be able to accommodate trainees soon, but, sadly, not yet)
Our current clients include professionals in law, finance, and medicine, so lawyers, financial advisors, fund managers and traders, physicians, and therapists and entrepreneurs, executives, athletes, and artists, and graduate and professional students and their families.
Our clients are amazing, multi-passionate, and driven individuals who are often struggling with anxiety, trauma, relationship problems, work dissatisfaction and burnout that’s often complicated by perfectionism, imposter syndrome, and doing-all-the-things-for-all-the-people-all-the-time problems. Go-to-strategies can range from “pushing through” and “compartmentalizing” boredom, distraction, anger, and sadness to taking out frustrations from work and school on those they love most and being completely unaware how it happened.
Some feel often intense shame about feeling they aren’t worthy of the success they have or admitting to friends and families that they aren’t fulfilled by it either. Some have been chasing the approval of others or the elusive fleeting butterfly of happiness for so long that they can’t remember the last time they thought about what truly mattered to THEM.
Many of these clients report having the experience of feeling that they were “too much” or intimidating to their prior therapists. Some report that they didn’t get much from prior therapy but didn’t want to “hurt” the therapist’s feelings, so they never said anything.
In addition to having strong clinical and EBT skills, work working with this population requires solid self-awareness, radical kindness and compassion, and empathic attunement at a different level than with other clinical presentations.
Some therapists will equate high-functioning to “easy,” and that’s not our experience. It can be challenging to hold space for someone who may have achieved more indicators the world labels as “successful” than you. Holding boundaries can occasionally be more tricky to navigate when your clients are used to having more control.
Yet we view this work with this population as an HONOR and a PRIVILEGE. We get the chance to infuse this work with paradigm shifts, powerful strategies, and ride-or-die therapeutic relationships that can transform their lives and ours.
We’ve seen our clients pay their personal change forward in their families, their companies and organizations, their community, and beyond in ways that we could never have imagined.
And you won’t be alone! We are a team!
We don’t do what we do because it’s a job. We do it because it’s our passion and our calling.
We want to join forces to make a collective of Jedi, superhero, wizard psychologists to supersize our impact on the world.
Our founder was a practicing lawyer who clawed her way from BIGLAW to a PhD in clinical psychology because she believed that by empowering other humans she could transform her life and others.
She left a cushy multi-six figure job as an attorney living in Boulder, Colorado to move to the Deep South on a wing and a prayer to pursue clinical psychology on a graduate student stipend with an infant, a confused, retired police K-9 yellow lab, one amazing partner, and pregnant! Either you’re all-in committed or completely insane to do something like that. So yeah, maybe we’re insanely committed!
Everyone and their brother (and their director of clinical training, inlaws, outlaws, random strangers) told her that she was crazy to leave law, and that she’d live to regret it. Yeah, so that didn’t happen. It was quite the opposite.
So, we’ve got a fire in our belly over here for this work!
WE ARE A GOOD FIT FOR YOU…
If this sounds like you and you want to exponentially impact the world, please apply!
>> We hire the most gifted, dedicated, wholehearted, crafty, Jedi psychologists. As we continue building our team of rockstar psychologists, we aim to have a staff that represents our client community in all ways. BIPOC and folks that come from various backgrounds in all respects (sexual orientation, SES, geographic region, spirituality, age, etc.) are encouraged to apply.
>> We have created a brand and a culture at MP. Our clients expect action-oriented therapists, skilled in exposure therapies, direct but incredibly warm, playful and fun, highly-trained and highly-skilled in EBTs (and ACT and CBT are non-negotiable), doctoral level, Our culture is similar, AND we are very supportive and valdiating of each other. No matter how good someone is with clients if they are not warm, open, curious, and supportive of colleagues, this isn’t going to work for us.
>> A PhD and PSYPACT licensure is a requirement at this time. That’s not because we don’t think that clinicians with other degrees aren’t freaking awesome; it’s actually for some reasons from our boring lawyers.
>> We’re a collective of independent psychologists who could do this on their own but choose not to, so we’re all independent contractors.
>>If you have another position and are free (legally and ethically) to work with us and can commit the time to serving your clients at a high level, we’re super cool with that.
We have structured our practice, so we don’t need to worry as much about how many clients you have. We love having people who are working in different roles – as in-house psychologists with athletic teams or corporations, administrators, or faculty members – who miss individual work but don’t want to deal with the hassles of managing it all flying solo.
WE AREN’T A GOOD FIT . . .
>>If you are running a group practice yourself, we wish you all the best, but we are not the best fit for you. We are looking for therapists who want to be with us long term!
>>If you have never worked in a group practice, we are probably not the best fit for you. Our team includes psychologists who are professors and former VA and AMC therapists, but this model works best for folks who are already very comfortable practicing indpendently.
>>If you are looking for a full-time position that offers benefits, this is a 1099 position, so we will not be the best fit for you. We do get how important it can be to have health benefits and other things. It’s so hard, but we are offering a different model that is best for people whose needs fit with what we offer. We do offer a different kind of 1099 model than any of us ever experienced. You decide what is best for your clients.
>>If you don’t have your APIT with PSYPACT and/or don’t live in a PSYPACT state, we can’t accept your application. To make sure you can hit the ground running, you need to have that already completed and be in good standing. There are some other things you will need to start like an EIN and an LLC or PLLC, but that is easier to figure out.
>>If you don’t have a license and haven’t practiced for at least five (5) years, we aren’t a good fit. Our clients expect experienced providers, and our model allows you incredible autonomy. We want to make sure that works for you and your clients!
