JENNY SHIELDS, PHD

I’m Dr. Jenny Shields, a licensed clinical psychologist and healthcare consultant specializing in working with high-achieving professionals who find themselves at a crossroads-caught between the life they’ve meticulously built and the growing realization that everything they’ve worked so hard to achieve may no longer align with who they are what truly matters to them.

Early in my career, I noticed a pattern that keeps appearing no matter where I look: high achievers like you are often the silent sufferers.

I can spot you from a mile away. You juggle responsibilities like they’re nothing, chase perfection with the tenacity of a marathon runner (on their fifth espresso), and guard your commitments fiercely. It all works out-until life throws you a curveball, something that makes all the juggling feel impossible.

Even those at the top of their game can find themselves shaken by life’s unpredictabilitythe profound grief of losing someone who was your anchor, the harsh reality of a health crisis that threatens your ability to continue serving others, the strain on relationships as success and ambition pull you in different directions, or the upheaval of a career setback that shakes your very identity these are the challenges that can bring even the strongest professionals to their knees.

Have you been there? I know the feeling.

High achievers often try to compartmentalize these losses, pushing through with the same determination that brought them success. But eventually, these challenges catch up with us, forcing us to confront hard truths about resilience. Running on this high-octane blend of ambition and perfectionism can be exhilarating—until you realize you’re headed for burnout.

My superpower? I help high-achieving professionals just like you navigate that perplexing fork in the road where the path you’ve been powerwalking no longer feels like it’s leading home.

Here’s the heart-to-heart we need to have: It’s okay not to be okay.

Admitting that you could use a co-pilot on this journey doesn’t make you any less of a superhero. In fact, it’s the bravest thing you can do.

As a former resident of that hamster wheel (and occasional re-visitor), I totally get it—always running and never quite arriving. That’s why I’ve made it my mission to provide a space where high achievers can slow down, reflect, and reconnect with the values and passions that once guided their lives.

In my decade-long career, I’ve guided executives, physicians, entrepreneurs, and other high performers through the complex terrain of burnout, anxiety, and identity crises that often accompany success. These brilliant, driven, and accomplished individuals struggle with an unshakable feeling of disconnection—from their passions, their relationships, and, most painfully, from themselves.

I offer a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore the complexities of your life with radical honesty. Together, we’ll confront the challenges that have left you feeling stuck and chart a new course toward a life that feels not only successful but also fulfilling and meaningful.
