Thank you so much.
We are honored that you have considered us a trusted referral source for your clients and patients.
How Do I Refer Patients / Clients to Momentum Psychology?
First:
- The patient must complete an appointment request form.
- There is a space on the form to indicate the referral source.
Your office can send the referral in one of two ways:
- If you have an authorized release from your patient, please send your referral along with the release to our Client Coordinator at 980.701.0076
- You can complete our secure referral form here.
Please complete the referral form. Once you have completed the form, our Client Coordinator will contact the relevant provider who can return your call or email to discuss a referral.
At that time, you can ask any questions that you need to determine if the MP psychologist is the best fit for your clients. If not, we will do our best to direct you to other referral sources that could work better.
As your patient’s provider, you are likely highly skilled and confident in how to approach this with your patients.
However, we are including some general tips here that have been helpful to us in the past in case it is helpful:
- When discussing referrals with patients, it can help to discuss the benefits of a multidisciplinary approach to receive the best care. Human beings are beautifully intricate and complex. Not surprisingly, having more than one person can give a more holistic picture.
- Familiarize yourself with our practice. (See our FAQ here and our psychologists here). For example, our practice is 100% virtual. We don’t have in-person sessions. We all have PhDs in clinical psychology, etc. We are licensed in over 40 states. If you have questions, please contact our office.
- Review our Investment FAQ, so you have considered that we are private pay and don’t take insurance and that are hourly rates are between a low of $195 and a high of $295. Assessments typically start at $1,000+. It can be tough for clients when they are excited about a referral to our practice and then they realize our rates are too high for them. We do take a certain number of sliding scale clients. If you have questions about this, please email our Client Coordinator.
- If patients don’t feel that now is a good time for a referral, please leave the door open for them. They can complete an appointment request at any time!
Our Client Coordinator aims to respond to all requests within 24-36 hours.
If you have indicated a provider, we will do everything possible to keep that referral.
Please keep in mind that our providers have different specialties and availability that could affect how we distribute referrals.
